Hi I'm Rachelle, a multi-disciplinary designer located on the Gold Coast. I specialise in graphics for marketing, packaging, labels, logos and branding, retail collateral, digital designs for web. I build websites, create graphics for email and social media campaigns, illustrations, editorial work, photo-editing, fashion apparel, accessory and textile designs.
I have degrees in fashion and graphic design, and can offer you my extensive range of skills and experience with my love of art, design, photography and fashion.
Since starting my Graphic Design business over 14 years ago, I have worked with many amazing clients with businesses located all over the world in retail, fashion, hospitality, trades and services. I've designed for clubs, restaurants, bars, cafes, events and event centers, salons, real estate agents, mentors, teachers and coaches, landscapers, sport teams, online retailers, service providers, printers and partnered up with other creatives. I've helped large and small businesses and created branding for start-ups, managing these projects independently or working alongside design teams and agencies when needed.
Graphic design skills: I am experienced in designing graphics for flyers, posters, pull up banners, brochures, branding (logo’s and stationary), web banners, web emails, EDM's, animated gifs, and imagery for social media. I've designed PowerPoint presentations, packaging, labeling and product designs, magazines, zines, menu designs for restaurants bars and cafes, product catalogues, informative booklets and packages, brand books, style sheets, product swing tags, discount cards, gift vouchers, banners, magazine ads, brochures, pamphlets, POS retail signage and outdoor signage. I've also designed for bollards, decal designs, stickers, garment label design, aspiration cards, photo retouching/ editing, 3D rendering, digital mock ups, product photography, illustrations, jewellery design, medals, custom invitation design and party decor. I am experienced in editing webpages in Shopify and Wix, and use Mailchimp and Klaviyo to create marketing assets.
Apparel design skills: I am experienced in creating artwork for garments and accessories, producing screen printing separations, garment and accessory spec drawings, appliqué design, embroidery and screen printed designs, and textile repeat patterns. I have designed for men's, women’s and children’s clothing ranges, and team sportswear. I have been responsible for stock management, liaised with offshore and onshore suppliers and managed quality control. I have been on buying trips to Hong Kong, London and LA for fashion forecasting, range planning and factory visits. I've sold ranges into stockists, produced storyboards and created catalogues for sales agents.
Other skills and info: I've organised fashion photo-shoots and assisted behind the scenes at fashion runway shows. I have worked for a screen printing company, I liaise with other creatives, design agencies and product based service providers. I have designed my own range of men's, women's and children's street wear sold online, and I had an online fashion shoe store.
Software, programs and social media: I work on a Mac using the latest versions of the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Dimensions. I can create and edit assets in Canva. I use Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word. I build websites in Shopify and Wix, and create email campaigns in Mailchimp and Klaviyo. I am experienced in creating content for social media including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Threads, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
